A murder investigation has been launched after a man was shot dead in south-east London, police said.
The Metropolitan police said officers were called to Catford Broadway, in the borough of Lewisham, at about 4.30am on Sunday, where a man – believed to be in his 30s – was found with a gunshot wound.
No arrests have yet been made in connection with the incident, the force added, and officers were in the process of informing the man’s next of kin.
A cordon remained in place at the scene.
