The environment secretary, Steve Barclay, has come under fire for failing to declare a potential conflict of interest over a proposed waste incineration plant in his constituency.

Barclay has been a vocal opponent of the waste-to-energy plant in Wisbech, which is due to be one of Europe’s biggest such incinerators.
