Iran tightens border as suspicion for Kerman attack shifts to Islamic State | Iran

Iran has said it is taking steps to bolster security along its borders with Afghanistan and Pakistan, in the first tangible sign that it suspects that Wednesday’s attack on a crowd marking the anniversary of the death of a senior Revolutionary Guards commander was the work of an Islamic State affiliate.

At least 84 people died when two blasts ripped through the crowd near Qassem Suleimani’s tomb in the southern city of Kerman, four years after he was killed by a US drone strike in Baghdad.
