Man detained by Paris police after incident at Iran consulate

TEHRAN – French authorities have apprehended a man who reportedly threatened to detonate explosives at Iran’s consulate in Paris. However, upon inspection, no explosives were found in his possession.

According to reports from Western media, a Paris police official stated that the individual was observed entering the consulate around 11 a.m. local time (0900 GMT). Witnesses purportedly saw him carrying what appeared to be a grenade and an explosive vest.
